During that time,  my software business has been characterized by meeting 
daily deadlines.  

Whenever a customer of any one of my eleven programs has asked for an 
update, my procedure  has been:

         1)  If the upgrade can be done, it goes out that day.

         2)  Difficult upgrades take three days.

         3)  The impossible ones take six months. 



DBMS Design methodologies that I used in these eleven programs:

          Flow charts (both system and program level) 
          Hierarchy Plus Input-Process-Output (HIPO) analysis. 



Prior to that seven year period, I've had five years of software design 
experience that ranged the gamut from mainframes, minis, to micros.
